Arrival at Antananarivo
The capital city of Madagascar. Welcome, assistance; handing out the programme of the trip. Transfer to Anjara Hotel. If are not tired, you can visit Croc farm (Beading of crocodiles). Dinner at the hotel.
Antananarivo - Ambatolampy - Antsirabe
7h, leave the capital city; drive to Antsirabe, 170km drive. Admire the beautiful landscapes of the ricefields and the traditional architecture. Antsirabe is a modern and quiet town. On the way.
Antsirabe - Miandrivazo
Departure for Miandrivazo (250km), you cross the barren lands of the west of Madagascar. We are in the village of Miandrivazo. Which is at the vicinity of the river Tsiribihina. I'm the afternoon. Night at the hotel.
Miandrivazo - Cruise on the river with Canoe (Pirogue) or boat
We go down the river and come to the gorge of Bemaraha. Splendid landscapes. You discover different aquatic birds, meeting with people in the surrounding villages. Picnic lunch. Night at the camping (Bivouac) site at the riverside.
Descent of the river Tsiribihina
After breakfast, swimming at the natural waterfall, we continue the crossing, then visit of typical villages, possibility of seeing lemurs. Dinner picnic. Bivouac at the riverside.
Belo sur Tsiribihina - Bekopaka
Continuation of the adventure. Lunch at Belo sur Tsiribihina, Then transfer to Bekopaka (Park of Tsingy of Bemaraha). We arrive late in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel or bungalow. Dinner.
Bekopaka - National Park of Bemaraha
This day is the exploration of the big rocks of plateau. You discover different animals, and wild plants. Back to the village for lunch. Visit of the small Tsingy in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Bekopaka - Belo sur Tsiribihina - Morondava
Transfer in 4WD towards Belo sur Tsiribihina. After lunch you continue to drive to Morondava. Stop at the alley of Baobabs, then visit also the baobabs in love. Take advantage of the sunset at the alley of Baobabs. Dinner at tricicogne hotel.
Morondava - Belo sur Mer
Drive to Belo sur Mer. On the way, you'll see the beautiful land, scapes a bit desert in general. The Baobabs are everywhere. Overnight at hotel Entremer, Ecolodge du Menabe or Le Dauphin.
Belo sur Mer
Day at leisure (free). Belo sur Mer is a Village of fishermen of 12.000 inhabitants, famous for the its shipyard building boaTsy called "goelettes" or Botry in Malagasy, that you can visit. Entremer or Le Dauphin hotel is one of the most beautiful one in that area. It's always cool and windy except from December to April. The sea is turquoise, crystalline, the sunset is plendid, the atmosphere is relaxing. The are many activities that you can choose especially to visit the isles like. Nosy Andravoho, Nosy Andriangavy, Andriamitaroka which is a synonymous of paradise.
Belo sur Mer - Manja
Continue to explore the western part of Madagascar. Watch the magnificent landscapes of the Mozambic chanal.
Manja - Morombe
It's the Vezo region, peoples of the sea. Excursion with pirogue. Traditional wooden boat (Canoe). Maybe it's the first time for the European to take it. Visit of the forest of Baobabs. Baobab Hotel ou Chez Katia maison d'hote.
Morombe - Salary
Drive to Salary, small stop at the bay, one of the best one in Madagascar. Where you have your unforgettable memory of you trip : the beach, the tours, hotel... There are many activities around either in the marine reserves or in the forests... Hotel Salary Bay Hotel.

Salary - Ranohira
On the way, you will see villages using local materials to build the huts. At Ilakaka, visit the local mining of sapphire. Hotel H1 or Toiles de l'Isalo; (not far from the Isalo Park).
Ranohira (National Park of Isalo)
A full day devoted to explore in maximum the Park which is rich in biodiversity, and history, Many hypothesis about the origin of the name Isalo :
- The site had been baptised after fight where the defeated ones were slaughtered cruelly.
- Because of the legends of the site which are hostile, unfamiliar. You can watch different mammals, natural pools, the canyon of the singes or canyons of Rats, the Portuguese cave/ grotto.
Ranohira - Fianarantsoa
On the way to Fianarantsoa, stop at Ambalavao to see the workshops manufacturing the Antemoro papers, from a plant called Avoha, natural plants and flowers. The origins of this know how is from the eastern coast of the Antemoro from the Arab people. After the ww2, in 1930, Ambalavao started to open its door for it. You can visit the workshops and buy the products. Back to Fianarantsoa, an old town rich of difficult for old people due to hills. You can watch as well the traditional sport for the young people called 《Savika or Tolon'omby. The Betsileo young people cling on the neck or the humps of the zebus (Oxen). Fianarantsoa is a place you take a train to Manakara. Hotel Cotsoyannis.
Fianarantsoa - Manakara
Full day trip boarding a train created originally by French in 1926. There are 18 train stations, crossing the extraordinary, green forest, waterfalls, villages up on the mountains. You will admire magnificent landscapes, fauna and flora, villages, local population buying and selling goods in each station where the train stops. At the end of the afternoon. You reach Manakara, on the south east coast. It's a colonial town with its small harbour. It's the terminus of the railway Fianarantsoa. East coast,the beach is super with its coconut tree. Visit of the town and the market place is necessary. Dinner at Vanille Hotel , Antemoro Hotel or Deluce Hotel.
Manakara - Ranomafana
Drive towards the North then turn to the interior. This coast is different from the western coast about the landscapes. On the way, you see varieties of natural resources, the heart of the economy of that region such as plantations of green peppers, wild pappers, coffees, Bananas. At the local markets you can buy snackes like roasted chickens, that we advise foreigners not to taste or eat because of hygiene. Le grenat Hotel, on the beach.
Ranomafana
A full day devoted to visiting the Park, a world heritage with its humid, dense forests which cover the majority of the Park. Bamboos are everywhere. Marshes are home to shrimps or prawns, green vegetation and animals abound; such as pandanus; fauna is exceptional like fish, insects, butterflies, frogs, birds of Madagascar. Most of then are endemic, 12 species of lemurs, Carnivorous mammals and bats, insectivorous. Ranomafana is a rainforest with profusion of rare plants like ferns, Bamboos, hundreds of orchids. Dinner at the hotel.
Ranomafa - Antsirabe
Live the Park, drive to Antsirabe. There is convivial. Tour with rickshaws if it is needed. Green Park tsara Hotel or similar.
Antsirabe - Antananarivo
Direction to the Scaritel Hotel. Plateau to be close to the airport. Transfers to the airport for international flight.
